Sista2Sista Inc. has been around for many years working and implementing services within the Muslim Community At Large. Our organization consists of Muslims within our community that saw a need to represent the unrepresented and seek viable solutions to addressing our social ills.We are a non profit corporation based in the state of Pennsylvania.

Our History
Sista2Sista has over the years been an active voice and service in the Muslim Community starting in Philadelphia, PA. which has grown to become a nationally recognized and respected organization within the Muslim Community at Large.
Our early efforts to addressing the immediate needs within the community began with the following programs
- 1990 – 1998
- Basic Computer Training for Low income Women (group mostly Muslim)
- Anti Drug Rally “Taking back the streets” Anti Drug Walk w/ Muslim Clergy and concerned neighbors
- This was done with the support of all the local Muslim Clergy in the community to address the
- At that time epidemic level of drug sales and use in our area.
- 1999 - 2003
- Sistas Educating sistas about Islam – The beginning of Sistas Day Out. (1998)
- This was started out as a small halaqa amongst sisters that grew into a full blown venue that included
- Knowledgeable sisters in our communities and vendors and speakers. (This was a yearly function now it’s every two years)
- Weekly Iftars for Muslims during the month of Ramadan (ongoing)
- Food Bank and Emergency Sadaqa Services for Muslim Families (weekly) Ongoing
- Emergency Temporary Housing for Abused women (network of private residences) Ongoing
- Sistas Groups/Functions at Masjid Muhammad of Philadelphia, Sunnah Nabawiyyah, Masjid Islaah
- Halaqas
- Health Fairs (2003 – 2005)
- Feeding Muslims during the month of Ramadan (1994 – present)
- Cooking for Muslims on Fridays (2002)
2003-2008
- Feeding Muslims during the Month of Ramadan (several Masjids and homes throughout Philadelphia) Ongoing
- (Monthly food basket give away for Muslim families in need) ongoing
- Feeding shelter victims during the month of Ramadan (2005)
- The First Domestic Violence Awareness Conference with the Tri-state Muslim Leadership/Secular Social Service Providers/Faith Trust Institute/Muslim Lawyers/Philadelphia DV Court Judges and Staff. (2004)
- Celebration of Life (Anti –Violence Campaign and Community Day (2007)
- Website and Online Community (2003)
- Sensitivity & Awareness Workshops for Secular Service Providers and Muslim Community (2004)
- Honorable Judge Ida Chen, Philadelphia Domestic Court and other DVA Agencies. Head Start
- The establishment ofworking and effective relationships with the four major Domestic Violence Awareness Agencies of Phila. (Muslim Friendly Providers)
- The Sistas In Crisis Resource and Referral Nationwide Hotline (2005) ongoing
- The Purple Ribbon Campaign (yearly during Domestic Violence Awareness Month)
- S2S Inc. joined The Sabbath for Domestic Peace (interfaith coalition) (2006)
